TMH
Last year, while I was on one of our youth mission trips to Springfield, I did something that I’ve done very rarely in my life. I bought a hat. It was a brown felt western hat and I quickly came to refer to it as “The Mission Hat” (or TMH). It has traveled quite a bit in its year of service but whenever it is on my head, it means that my main goal is to work for the benefit of others.
Regardless of our headwear, what really changes as we allow ourselves to be used by God for the good of our brothers and sisters occurs in our hearts. Opening ourselves to hearing the needs of others and responding to them out of our own time, resources and energy realigns us with the heart of God. It is a process which should be repeated often.
Great opportunities are everywhere, never let go of your desire to do good.
For Christ,
